We will construct a comprehensive financial plan that addresses your financial goals along with identifying any potential financial issues.
The following areas are typically addressed in a financial plan:
| Budgeting & Cash Flow Management |
 |
Do you know how much you are spending each month?
|
| We will analyze your income sources and your expenses and project an annual or monthly cash flow statement. We will also identify potential changes to your expenditures to increase your monthly cash flow. |
| |
| |
| Investment Management |
 |
| Is your money growing at rate to achieve your financial goals?
How risky is your investment portfolio? How much risk are you comfortable taking with your money? |
Financial Futures will analyze your current portfolio and construct an investment allocation plan based on your financial goals, risk tolerances, and time horizon. The investment plan will diversify your investments to maximize your returns while minimizing your risk. We will then help you implement the plan, monitor the investment balances and make adjustments as necessary. Financial Futures does not assume discretionary control of your assets. Any trades will be discussed and approved by you before execution. |
| |
| |
| Retirement Income Planning |
 |
| When do you want to retire? How much will you need to live on? Do you want to work part-time in retirement? |
| We will discuss your retirement goals with you and construct a conservative plan to help you achieve a comfortable retirement. |
| |
| |
| Debt Management |
 |
| Do you have good debt or bad debt? How much is your debt costing you? |
| One of the first hurdles in saving for future goals is debt management. We will analyze your current debt (mortgage, auto, credit card, and education) and recommend changes as needed. |
| |
| |
| Education Planning |
 |
| Do you have a child or children for whom you would like to plan for their educational expenses? Do you want to plan for a public or private university education? Do you want your child to pay for part of their education? |
| If education planning is one of your goals, we will construct a savings plan to help you achieve your educational funding goals.
|
| |
| Insurance Review |
 |
| Do you need life insurance, long-term care insurance or disability insurance? What’s the difference? If your house burned down, do you have enough coverage to replace your personal belongings? |
| Financial Futures will review your insurance documents to ensure you have adequate coverage from life’s uncertainties. We will review your homeowner’s, renter’s, auto, health, disability, life, and long-term care policies. If appropriate, we will recommend the purchase of a new policy or an adjustment to an existing policy. |
| |
| |
| Estate Planning |
 |
| Do you know what would happen to your assets if you died tomorrow? Do you know how much of your money the government would take? |
Estate planning is the transfer of assets both during life and after death with the goal of making sure your objectives are met and your taxes are minimized. We will review your current estate plan or recommend an estate plan including as appropriate, wills, trusts, living wills, and health care directives. If you have any dependents, it is critical that you have a valid will to determine guardianship. |

| Charitable Giving |
 |
| Would you like to contribute to a non-profit charity? Do you know how much you can save on taxes by gifting money or other assets to a non-profit organization? |
One of your financial goals may include charitable giving to a school, medical research company, or homeless shelter. We can help you decide the best way to make the greatest impact to your favorite charity.
